NaviTag Technologies completes successful Government backed field test of cargo tracking unit

Results publicly released, units perform above expectations.

Hingham, MA. August 7, 2003: Amid increasing concerns of the security of containerized freight, NaviTag has successfully completed field testing of its satellite based remote reporting seal. The goal of this Department of Transportation sponsored project was to establish whether such a device would be applicable to the rigors of global maritime containerized cargo. Seven International container shipments were secured spanning Europe, Asia, North and South America utilizing real cargo moves from commercial participants Bose, Hasbro, Hewlett-Packard & Jungbunzlauer.

"The field test results exceeded our expectations" said Bob Magown, president of NaviTag Technologies. "The prototype units successfully relayed position and sensor status from origin to destination throughout its intermodal journey, even when stowed abovedecks."
